Ride with Pride: Take COTA to Stonewall Columbus Pride Festival and March; Reroutes Planned for Saturday
The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) is proud to support the transportation needs of the thousands attending the Stonewall Columbus Pride Festival and March events, taking place from June 13 to 15.
The first Columbus PRIDE march was held in 1982. Today, the Stonewall Columbus Pride Festival and March welcome more than 700,000 visitors to Columbus and the Central Ohio region.
Events being held during the three days include:
- June 13: The Stonewall Columbus Pride Festival & Resource Fair at Goodale Park (4 p.m.–10 p.m.)
- June 14: Stonewall Columbus Pride March (Step-off from Broad Street and High Street downtown at 10:30 a.m.)
- June 14: Stonewall Columbus Pride Festival & Resource Fair at Goodale Park (11 a.m.–8 p.m.)
- June 15: Columbus Lesbian & Gay Softball Association’s Bat-N-Rouge at Dodge Park (12 p.m.)
Participants can explore the best transit routes to get to the festivities at COTA.com or plan their trip on the Transit app. COTA’s hours of operation are 5 a.m. to approximately 1 a.m., with the final downtown lineup each night at midnight. Fare is only $2 per adult, $1 per child under 12, and children under age 5 ride at no charge. Customers can pay using COTA’s digital fare payment system, through the Transit app, or COTA Smart Card. Customers can also pay cash on board.
Reroute Information
On Saturday, June 14, the Stonewall Columbus Pride March steps off at 10:30 a.m. downtown at Broad Street and High Street and travels up North High Street through the Short North. COTA Lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 102, CMAX and Zoo Bus will be rerouted in the areas of downtown, the Arena District and the Short North beginning at 6 a.m. and continuing through the end of the march.
Transit stops will not be serviced during the parade from the Short North to Downtown on High Street during the march.
