COTA TO LAUNCH MAY SERVICE IMPROVEMENTS ON MONDAY

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) will launch its latest service change
on Monday, May 4. Thanks to funding from the LinkUS initiative, Line 6 (Sullivant) will become a
frequent line, moving from service every 30 minutes on weekdays to every 15 minutes
to better
serve customers from Downtown to West Columbus.

Timetables for each improved transit line are now available online at COTA.com/ServiceChanges.
COTA makes changes to its service three times a year, on the first Monday of January, May, and
September, to improve travel times, modify service, and make construction-related route changes. Here
is the complete list of improvements beginning Monday, May 4:

COTA will have improved frequency on the following line:

  • 6 Sullivant

The following lines will have some alignment changes:

  • 61 Grove City
  • 74 Smoky Row

COTA is also adjusting the following lines to improve on-time performance:

  • 10 E Broad/W Broad
  • 22 OSU/Rickenbacker
  • 35 Dublin – Granville
  • 73 Dublin

Just in time for summer, COTA’s seasonal Zoo Bus will also return on Saturday, May 9, offering
weekend service to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium through Memorial Day. Beginning Memorial
Day, May 25, the Zoo Bus will operate seven days a week through Labor Day. Riders receive
discounted admission to both the Zoo and Zoombezi Bay.
