COTA Announces Major Reroutes and Delays this Weekend During OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon

Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) customers should expect delays and reroutes this weekend as thousands of runners and walkers participate in the 21st annual OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon and Columbus Promise 5K on Saturday, April 27.

Some reroutes will being on Friday, April 26 at 5 p.m. as crews prepare for the race. COTA will begin reroutes for Lines 1, 2, 5, 8, 11, 52, 61, 102 and CMAX. This will only impact a few stops around South High Street near Columbus Commons.

On race day, Saturday, April 27 at 8 a.m., COTA will have significant delays and reroutes impacting Lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 22, 31, 102 and CMAX. During this time, transit stops will not be served on High Street from Ohio State University to German Village. Other streets impacted include Neil Avenue, West Lane Avenue, North and South Fourth Street, South Third Street, West Long Street, East Spring Street, and Thurman Avenue. Reroutes are expected to last until early afternoon on Saturday. Additional information can be found on the homepage of COTA.com or by contacting COTA Customer Care at (614) 228-1776. COTA will also share reroute information on its social media channels before and during the race.
