COTA Celebrates Transit Driver Appreciation Day March 16
COLUMBUS, OH—Have you thanked your bus driver lately? The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) is celebrating Transit Driver Appreciation Day on Fri., March 16.
COTA bus operators don’t have an easy job, they just make it look that way! Every day, they help move our community forward. For hours on end, they manage to keep a schedule, check fares, give directions, announce stops, remember stop requests and more, all while safely maneuvering an extra-large vehicle through unpredictable traffic, adverse weather conditions and some really tight spaces.
Join COTA in celebrating the contributions of our hard-working bus operators:
- Offer a smile and a wave when you board the bus, and a “thank you” when you leave!
- This Friday, comment on one of COTA’s Transit Driver Appreciation Day posts on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram), and share your gratitude.
- Any time of year, you can submit an official commendation to COTA Customer Service at (614) 228-1776 for a job well done, so your drivers can be formally recognized for their efforts.
Transit Driver Appreciation Day honors the many hard-working men and women who keep us all moving every day.
