Count on COTA this New Year’s Eve
Late night service on the CBUS and Line 21 Night Owl until 3 a.m. on Jan. 1
COLUMBUS, OH— Leave the keys at home this New Year’s Eve, and let the Central Ohio Transit
Authority (COTA) be your designated driver – COTA is offering service on the CBUS® and Line 21
Night Owl until 3 a.m. the morning of Fri., Jan. 1.
-CBUS runs every 15 minutes from the Brewery District to the Short North. CBUS service starts
at 7 a.m. on Dec. 31. CBUS is free to ride.
-The Line 21 Night Owl runs every 30 minutes on High Street serving Clintonville, Ohio State,
Short North, Park Street, the Arena District and Downtown. Night Owl service starts at 7 p.m.
on Dec. 31. Passengers can ride the Night Owl for $2 each trip. Alternatively, DayPasses are
available on the bus, and good for unlimited riding, for $4.50. Drivers will accept DayPasses
activated on Dec. 31 from customers boarding the bus between midnight and 3 a.m. on Jan. 1.

In observance of New Year’s Day, COTA will operate Holiday Service on Fri., Jan. 1. When COTA
operates Holiday Service, bus lines operate on their Sunday schedules.
COTA’s Customer Service call center, as well as the Pass Sales Office at 33 N. High St., will be
closed on Fri., Jan. 1.
