COTA to Honor Active and Retired Military Personnel with Free Fares Tomorrow on Veterans Day
COLUMBUS, OH—In honor of Veterans Day, the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) invites all active and
retired military personnel to ride COTA buses free of charge on Fri., Nov. 11. Fares will be waived on fixedroute
and Mainstream service.
“We salute the brave men and women who have served our country,” said Curtis Stitt, COTA President/CEO.
“Providing complimentary rides to veterans on this day is just a small gesture of our appreciation for the
dedication these men and women have shown.”
To take advantage of free fares on Veterans Day, proof of veteran or active military status must be presented
to the bus operator. When boarding the bus, show a military ID, a VA medical ID card, a veteran designation
on a driver’s license, or a certificate of release or discharge from active duty. Visit COTA.com/VeteransDay for
