COTA Short-Range Transit Plan Public Comment Meetings Scheduled for March 2 & 7

COLUMBUS—Two public comment meetings will take place regarding proposed updates to the Central Ohio
Transit Authority’s (COTA) Short-Range Transit Plan (SRTP).

COTA updates the SRTP every two (2) years. These meetings are being held to present proposed plans for
the implementation of future transit service and to highlight major capital initiatives planned to take place over
the next five years. The SRTP also provides a plan for current and future uses of local, state and federal funds,
including COTA’s portion of the regional transportation improvement program (TIP).
The 2017 – 2021 SRTP update will incorporate public input in the development of future transit service plans,
bus purchases, facility upgrades and maintenance, customer service improvements, and other initiatives.
