Columbus Hosts NBC-LEO Annual Summer Conference July 20-23
COTA is Official Transportation Partner
COLUMBUS—Columbus will host the National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials (NBC-LEO)
Annual Summer Conference on July 20-23. The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) is proud to
serve as the Official Transportation Partner for the event.
COTA’s AirConnect will provide shuttle service from the Port Columbus International Airport to
Downtown Columbus and back. The CBUS®, COTA’s free Downtown circulator service, will be
available to provide attendees with transportation to and from various locations, including conference,
entertainment and hospitality destinations.
“We are very proud to be the Official Transportation Partner for the NBC-LEO Annual Summer
Conference,” said COTA President/CEO W. Curtis Stitt. “It is an exciting event and we are happy to
be a part of it. COTA’s AirConnect and CBUS services were designed for events such as this, to help
welcome guests and show them the many wonderful things that our city has to offer. We are proud to
be a partner and provide this service for the conference attendees.”
The National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials was created in 1970 to represent the interests of
African American elected officials. Its mission is to provide African American and other diverse
municipal officials with networks to share ideas; discussion groups to develop strategies for improving
municipal governance; and debates on policy issues and programs that contribute to the success of
America’s cities and towns, especially in African American Communities.
