Sedan Voucher Program

In response to providing improved service to Project Mainstream customers, COTA has contracted with Urban Express to offer sedan service to eligible paratransit users. The service will be available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

How the Service Works
The customer will contact COTA Mobility Services at (614) 275-5828 to request a program enrollment form. The customer must complete the form and return it to COTA's Mobility Services at 1600 McKinley Avenue, Columbus, OH 43222. The customer will be notified of their enrollment in the program by U.S. mail. Upon notification, the customer may purchase vouchers in the following manner:

  1. In person at COTA Connection, 60 E Broad St.
  2. By Telephone (614-228-1776) with credit card number.
  3. By Mail (check only) to COTA Connection and received by the 15th of each month.
Vouchers may be purchased for $3.50 each. A maximum of 10 vouchers, per month, per customer will be provided based on availability. The service will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. There are a limited number of vouchers available monthly.

The customer will contact Urban Express 1-877-840-0411 or 614-856-1000 directly to schedule the trip. Customers must present their COTA ADA Card. If your card is not presented, a ride will not be given. Please allow at least one hour for pickup (heavy traffic, weather conditions and/or demand in service). The service will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.

One voucher is needed per trip. Two vouchers are needed for round trip service. Customers are permitted to share a ride with another eligible customer, however, each must use a voucher for service. Vouchers will not expire and are transferable to other eligible customers. For questions regarding service, contact COTA Mobility Services at (614) 275-5828.
