How to Ride: Bus Stop
Before you start, you need to know your stop. COTA makes it easy with these easy-to-follow instructions.
1. Look for a COTA bus stop, which displays one of these two signs to the right.
2. Go to the bus stop. Keep in mind that some stops service multiple routes, all of which are displayed only on COTA’s signs. To locate a bus stop near you click here.
3. Arrive at the stop at least five minutes early and wait for your bus.
4. Board the bus that serves your destination – make sure you’re getting on the right bus by looking at the route number and last stop displayed above the windshield.
5. Put the exact change in the farebox – or swipe your pass.
6. Make yourself comfortable and enjoy the ride.
7. Push the strip or pull the cord when you approach your stop so the bus operator knows you want to get off the bus. If you aren’t sure where the
stop is for your destination, refer to a route timetable or ask the bus
operator.
8. To return home, simply reverse the process. |
