Just present your red student BUCK•I•D to the operator when boarding COTA and let us take you to class, work, or shopping.

How do I get on the bus? Call (614) 228-1776 or follow these easy instructions.

1. Pick a destination in central Ohio.

2. Find the COTA bus that gets you there. Call (614) 228-1776 to learn the appropriate route name, number, schedule and destination, as well as the bus stop nearest you. Or consult the timetables on this website.

3. Go to the COTA bus stop. You can get on and off COTA buses only at designated stops and shelters.

4. Flash your BUCK•I•D. Wait for the bus to stop and open its doors before boarding. Flash your current, active BUCK•I•D. to the bus operator. Then find an available seat. If you're new, sit near the bus operator in case you have any questions, but leave space for senior citizens and persons with disabilities. If the bus is full, stand and hold onto the railing.

5. When your bus approaches your destination, press the closest magnetic strip or pull the yellow cord (strips and cords are conveniently located throughout the bus interior) at least 3/4 of a block before your stop. Click here for COTA's How to Ride Guide.
