Cash Fares
This list outlines one-way fares for all of COTA services. Please have exact fare ready. Bus operators carry no cash. Fareboxes accept both bills and coins.

COTA Passes and Pass Outlets


COTA offers a variety of transit passes to fit your needs. Passes can be purchased at the COTA Connection Customer Service Center, 60 E. Broad St., at designated pass outlets or by mail. When purchasing by mail, send check or money order to COTA Connection, 60 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43215. Requests must be received by the 20th of the month in order for you to receive your pass by the first of the following month.

DayPass ($3.50) – Enjoy unlimited travel and free transfers on all local and crosstown routes for the entire day. If you get on an express bus with a $3.50 DayPass, an additional 50¢ is required. DayPasses can be purchased on the bus (adult only), at the COTA Connection Customer Service Center, 60 E. Broad St. or designated outlets.

7-Day Pass ($18.00) – Enjoy unlimited travel and free transfers on all local and crosstown routes for any 7 consecutive days. If you get on an express bus with a 7-Day Pass, an additional 50¢ is required. These passes can be purchased individually or in bulk and at a discount for large groups or organizations. They may also be requested by mail.

Monthly Local Pass ($45.00) – Pass that is valid all month for unlimited travel on all local and crosstown routes, including COTA LINKs. If you get on an express bus with a Monthly Local Pass, an additional 50¢ is required.

Monthly Express Pass ($62.00) – Pass that is valid all month for unlimited travel on all routes, including local, crosstown, express routes and COTA LINKs.

Monthly Project Mainstream/ADA Monthly Pass ($70.00) – Pass that is valid all month for unlimited travel on Project Mainstream paratransit service and all fixed-route service. Project Mainstream Monthly Passes can be purchased by mail or at the COTA Connection Customer Service Center, 60 E. Broad St. NOTE: There is a $0.75 up-charge for non-ADA trips.

Senior ID Card – An ID that allows you to ride COTA’s fixed-route service for just 75¢ each way. To receive your discount ID, bring proof that you are 65 or older (driver’s license, state ID or birth certificate) to the COTA Connection Customer Service Center, 60 E. Broad St., downtown, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Key Card – Eligible persons with a disability can ride COTA’s fixed-route service for 75¢ each way. The Key Card is a photo identification card with an expiration date, and must be renewed regularly. To qualify, you must provide COTA with your Social Security Card and one of the following:
  • A COTA certification form with a licensed medical professional’s signature and Ohio license number

  • A Social Security/Veteran Disability Award letter and picture ID
To get a Key Card you must:
  • Pick up a certification form at the COTA Connection Customer Service Center, 60 E. Broad St. or call (614) 228-1776.

  • Bring the completed certification form, Social Security/Veteran Disability Award letter and picture ID to the COTA Connection Customer Service Center, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
ADA Card – An ADA Card is required to ride Project Mainstream, COTA’s paratransit service. ID cards are issued to eligible customers who meet strict federal criteria. For eligibility information, contact (614) 275-5828 or (614) 228-1776 or email paratransit@cota.com.
