DBE Programs
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Certification Application
Below, you will find the DBE policy statement for the Central Ohio Transit Authority. If you are interested in learning more about the program and eligibility requirements please continue reading the information and application instructions below.
According to the Federal Regulations 49CFR part 26, all Federal Transportation Recipients must have a Unified Certification Program. This entails a national Uniformed Certification Application for each state/region. Currently, the Central Ohio Transportation Authority (COTA) has completed a formal Memorandum of Understanding with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) to unify our certification application procedures and directory for the entire state of Ohio. You may now apply to the Ohio Department of Transportation for both certification and recertification. This will become a single application process for DBE eligibility and certification for all transportation agencies in the State of Ohio. This process has been completed. If you are interested in applying for COTA’s DBE program, please go to the Ohio Department of Transportation Link at Ohio DBE: Unified Certification Program. For more information about the certification process, please contact ODOT: Ms. Marliese Kelley at (614) 728-8499 or Ms. Karen Crago at (614) 728-8498.
