Columbus Airport Procedures for Passengers with Disabilities
ADA eligible users from across the US are eligible to use Project Mainstream for 21 days while visiting the Columbus area.
Interested ADA customers should call the COTA Mobility Services office at 614-275-5828 to request temporary eligibility.
Once COTA establishes eligibility, the customer may call 614-272-3033 to make a reservation with Project Mainstream.
When Project Mainstream takes the reservation for a trip from the airport, the reservationist completes a form with information about the passenger including the arrival and departure times to the Transportation Department at Columbus Regional Airport Authority.
Arriving passengers will be instructed to proceed to the Airport Information Counter, located in the passenger terminal on the baggage claim level
or
They will be informed to request Skycap assistance at the arrival gate and will be escorted to the lower baggage claim level.
The Transportation Department at the airport passes that information on to their vendor, Huntleigh (Skycap provider), who provides assistance to the passenger and will get them to the proper transportation vehicle.
Departing passengers will be dropped of at the inner most curb on departure level nearest the customer service counter where a Skycap employee will be available to assist the customer.
