What you think counts. COTA wants your input to improve and enhance our bus system. Please complete this survey. It should take less than 10 minutes and everything you tell us is strictly confidential.
Here’s why we need to know what you think. COTA wants to improve how we serve customers by taking a look at our bus system. That system includes 68 different routes, 3600 bus stops, 28 Park & Rides and over 300 buses. COTA serves customers across 562 square miles in central Ohio. The Transit System Review gives us the opportunity to look at the best and most effective way to meet the needs of our region.
How a Transit System Review Works
The Transit System Review will take a complete view of the existing COTA bus system including the number of riders, lines, facilities, buses, road network, operating budget and technology. During the review, key questions will be asked such as does the bus system meet the needs of our region and what types of technology will improve service delivery. The objective of the TSR is to define the needs of residents, riders and businesses then develop a plan for an improved bus system that better serves the region. The study will be completed in late August or early September, resulting in a comprehensive review of current bus services and recommendations for positive changes to COTA’s bus service network over the next 5 to 10 years.
The Transit System Review will have various opportunities for public input and response. Please look for information on our website at www.cota.com, our Facebook page or follow us on Twitter @COTAbus. In addition, public meetings will be held around central Ohio in March and May to discuss various alternatives and scenarios for transit service.
